OBJECTIVES: This module will cover the structure and function of the blood, the heart, and the blood vessels. We will spend a great deal of time on cardiac physiology and blood flow.

- Identify the different structures of the heart, cardiac conduction system, and associated blood vessels.
- List the steps of the blood flow through the heart.
- List the steps of the cardiac conduction system and the cardiac cycle.
- Interpret an electrocardiogram and explain the relationship between the electrical activity and the muscle contraction.
- Compare and contrast the structure and function of the 3 primary blood vessels.
